Definition (User manual)

(a)
At the date of the EU Ecolabel licence award:
(i)
at least 40 % of all lighting in the tourist accommodation shall have at least Class A as determined in accordance with Annex VI to Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 874/2012 (13);
(ii)
at least 50 % of lighting that is situated where the lamps are likely to be turned on for more than 5 hours a day shall have at least Class A as determined in accordance with Annex VI to Delegated Regulation (EU) No 874/2012.
(b)
In maximum of 2 years from the date of the EU Ecolabel licence award:
(i)
at least 80 % of all lighting in the tourist accommodation shall have at least Class A as determined in accordance with Annex VI to Delegated Regulation (EU) No 874/2012;
(ii)
the 100 % of lighting that is situated where the lamps are likely to be turned on for more than 5 hours a day shall have at least Class A as determined in accordance with Annex VI to Delegated Regulation (EU) No 874/2012.
Note: Percentages are set in reference to the total amount of light fittings suitable to use energy-saving lighting. The targets above do not apply to light fittings whose physical characteristics do not allow use of energy-saving lighting.
